2D music video: "Please Don't Go"

        For this music video, I was asked to create a simple 2D sketchbook style animation that tells a story matching the tone of Vallie Noles' song "Please Don't Go". I worked closely with Vallie and her producers to pitch an idea for the overall look and story. Once I came up with the idea of using scribbles inside of stick figures like marionette strings, that became the guiding concept for the whole project. In the end it was really exciting to have such an open ended project with so much creative freedom.

After "Please Don't Go" had an established look, we began collaborating with ways to make the cover artwork be cohesive with the sketchbook style music video. It was important to give each piece of work it's own Identity that matched the tone of its song, while also keeping the set cohesive. ​
